About me
Hi there, I'm Lauren and my biggest reason for doing what I do, is to empower others to believe in their own capabilities and worth. I aim to develop a professional friendship with those that I work with by offering a non-judgemental, cosy and discrete environment. I've built up my expertise through ten years of experience in the mental health sector and I have a specialism in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which is an evidence based therapy that focuses on thoughts, behaviours, feelings and beliefs.
CBT is an action plan focused therapy that can support a wide range of issues, including depression, low self esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), trauma, PTSD, phobias, insomnia, social anxiety, health anxiety and other generalised anxieties (GAD).
My aim is to help you gain a better understanding of why, and where, your symptoms developed from and to collaboratively develop a tailored and personalised therapy plan to cover your specific needs and wants. The aim of CBT is to supply you with a "tool kit" that you will be able to refer to and use throughout the rest of your life
