MSC Person-Centred Creative Psychotherapy, PGCE

About me

Perhaps you've been holding everything together for everyone else while quietly feeling overwhelmed yourself. Maybe anxiety has become exhausting, relationships feel difficult, or you're beginning to wonder why life feels harder than it used to. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.

I offer warm, person-centred online counselling for adults across the UK. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and healing, even when life experiences have left them feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves. My private practice Wellspring is founded on the belief that every person carries within them the capacity to heal, grow and flourish. Inspired by the biblical image of a wellspring—a life-giving source of fresh water— my counselling and therapeutic sessions seek to offer a safe, compassionate space where adults, children and young people can pause, reflect and reconnect with themselves. Through a person-centred approach, I sit alongside you, supporting your journey of restoration, helping you discover resilience, hope and lasting change.

My approach is collaborative and non-judgemental. Some sessions may involve exploring difficult emotions or past experiences, while others focus on helping you understand patterns, develop self-compassion and find practical ways forward. We work at a pace that feels right for you. I will offer suggestions of processing things through talking or creatively through mark making or movement and using metaphors.

I often support people who are:
 - feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress
- navigating ADHD or autism and making sense of their identity
- struggling with relationships or family dynamics
- experiencing burnout or work-related pressures
- processing trauma or difficult life experiences
- adjusting to significant life changes
- carrying the emotional weight of caring for others

Alongside my work with adults, I have extensive experience supporting parents as they navigate the emotional challenges of family life. This includes parenting neurodivergent children, managing anxiety, exploring the impact of pregnancy and birth experiences, and finding themselves again alongside the demands of caring for others.

I also have several years' experience working therapeutically with children and young people within schools and specialist mental health services. My work has included supporting children aged 5 and above, adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, abuse, family difficulties, emotional regulation challenges and neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism.

Working with children and young people has given me a deep appreciation of how early experiences, relationships and environments shape emotional wellbeing. I work collaboratively with each young person, adapting sessions to suit their developmental needs and personality. Where appropriate, I also work alongside parents and carers to help strengthen understanding, communication and support beyond the therapy room.

I'm currently offering online sessions only to adults and young people age 14+. If you are a young person seeking support, please ask your trusted adult to reach out to me.

In person sessions are available with me on Thursday mornings!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
