About me

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you don’t understand?  Maybe things seem challenging and frustrating, or you've been affected by loss, bereavement or life changes.  My name is Laura, and I offer warm, confidential counselling for adults and partners in relationships.

Face-to-face and online sessions are available.  I work from a dedicated therapy room on Rayleigh High Street, offering sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays .

Perhaps you're dealing with anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, and relationship difficulties, or even feel like you're missing a sense of purpose.

I work with adults and partners in relationships facing challenges, including issues such as anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, relationship difficulties, communication problems, break-ups, low self-esteem, bereavement, life transitions, work stress, and feeling stuck or lost.  I also support those wanting to improve communication, rebuild trust, resolve conflict, and strengthen their relationships.

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor sessions to your needs.  No two people are the same, so their therapy shouldn't be either and the focus is always on what feels most supportive and effective for you.

My approach is calm, non-judgemental, and supportive; therapy with me is straight-talking and informal.  I provide a safe space where you can explore your experiences, gain clarity and develop greater understanding and confidence.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and offer both face-to-face and online counselling. Contact me via the form, text, email, or phone to arrange your free 20-minute consultation.

Areas I work with include:
Anxiety and worry
Stress and overwhelm
Low mood and depression
Relationship difficulties and communication challenges
Break-ups and separation
Low self-esteem and confidence
Bereavement and loss
Life transitions and change
Work stress and burnout
Feeling stuck or lost
Couples support: improve communication, rebuild trust, resolve conflict, strengthen relationships

What your first session will be like
Starting counselling can feel a little nerve-racking, especially if it’s your first time. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to talk about what has brought you to counselling.

You are free to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. I will ask some gentle questions to help me understand your situation and what you hope are seeking to gain from our sessions.   My role is to walk alongside you as we explore your experiences and help you develop greater understanding, resilience, and confidence in moving forward.

Next steps
If you’re thinking about counselling, you’re welcome to get in touch for a free phone conversation.  This gives us a chance to briefly talk about what’s been going on and see whether working together feels right for you.

You can contact me via the form on this page, or by text, email or phone and we can arrange a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if we are the right fit.  I offer both face-to-face and online counselling sessions.  My therapy room is located on Rayleigh High Street, so there are lots of transport links, car parks and amenities close by.  My working days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
