About me

From my supervisor (Jo West): "Laura has 8 years experience working with children, young people and adults in therapeutic settings, including schools, NHS, charities and private settings. She is dedicated to her clients, believing mental health is the key to our wellbeing. Laura uses a range of skills to guide positive, life-long change. She has a calm, patient personality and is brilliant at helping her clients to build resilience and work through tough times. She supports people with a range of issues including trauma, anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, confidence, family and friendships, school difficulties, and stress"

Hi! I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I am trained and work from Psychodynamic, CBT and Person Centred Approaches. I am a passionate and dedicated counsellor, who's goal is to help you overcome difficulties you may be facing. I have a special interest in working with the Inner Child to heal traumatic stress or difficulties that may have occurred from early experiences. I am also highly experienced in offering CBT based treatments for OCD.

Thank you so much for reading this far into my profile. I know picking out the right counsellor for you can be a really tough decision, and you need to make sure I am the right fit for you. Please do reach out via email, where I can arrange an initial session with you, or if prefer, an informal 15 minute phone call before booking a session.
