About me
Hello, I’m Laura Day —
I’m a Psychotherapist here to support individuals on their journey of healing and self-discovery. I offer a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where you can process emotions, work through challenges, and explore your inner world — whether through thoughtful conversation or creative expression.
I understand that communication feels different for everyone. My aim is to create a space where you can express yourself in the way that feels most natural to you. Your voice matters, and I’m here to listen.
What can I support you with?
I welcome anyone who wants to explore anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or other emotional challenges. My role is to support, encourage, and walk beside you as you navigate your path. What’s important to you becomes important to me — I want to help you through the tough times and celebrate your growth along the way.
Who do I work with?
I work with people aged 12 and up, from all backgrounds. You might be facing anxiety or stress, feeling low or overwhelmed, navigating a life change, dealing with loss, recovering from trauma, struggling with identity, or experiencing bullying — whatever brings you here, you’re welcome.
I believe therapy should be an empowering experience. Life can be incredibly hard at times, but with the right support, it’s possible to find strength, clarity, and tools to move forward.
What happens in a session?
In our sessions, you’ll have the space to connect with and express whatever is present for you — feelings, thoughts, memories, questions. Together, we’ll gently explore how the unconscious might be shaping your experiences and work toward deeper understanding.
Sessions are always confidential and tailored to your needs. We can meet in person, online, or over the phone — whatever feels right for you.
I’m currently welcoming new clients, and I offer a free initial phone conversation to see whether we feel like the right fit for each other. Finding the right therapist is such an important step in your healing journey.
Creative Healing through Art Therapy
In addition to talking therapy, I’m also a qualified Art Therapist. Art therapy offers a gentle, supportive way to process emotions and experiences, especially when words are hard to find.
What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy blends traditional therapy with creative expression. Using drawing, painting, sculpting, writing, or collage, you can explore feelings, behaviours, and experiences in a new way — helping you connect more deeply with yourself.
This approach can be especially helpful for those working through trauma or for anyone who finds it difficult to express themselves through words alone.
How does it work?
Whether we’re meeting in person or online, you’re invited to use any creative materials that feel comfortable. There’s no pressure to be “artistic” — it’s about expression, not skill. Through this process, we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface and support your healing from a place of safety and compassion.
Online art therapy can also be a flexible option — making space for healing from the comfort of your home, without the added pressure of travel or scheduling conflicts.
If art therapy feels like something you’d like to explore, I also offer a free initial phone call so we can see if this feels like the right path for you.
You’re not alone — whether you’re struggling, seeking clarity, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, I’m here to help. Let’s take this step together.
