About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist by background, with years of experience working with adults in the NHS and in the Private sector.

I offer psychological therapy to individuals and couples who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges, to name just a few.

I approach my clients with non-judgmental curiosity, honesty, and compassion, and believe in our innate human capacity to grow and heal. My therapeutic approach is informed by Compassionate Inquiry (CI), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Psychodynamic psychotherapy. I draw upon mindfulness practices and body-based interventions to help clients work through difficulties, grow, and bring about change that's aligned with their core values and authenticity.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified with a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (ClinPsyD) at Manchester University in 2008. Prior to that, I completed a Master's (MA) degree in Clinical Behavioural Psychology at the City University of New York (CUNY) and a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Psychology at University College London (UCL).

My professional training has included Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy, and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Post qualification, I specialised in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Gabor Mate's Compassionate Inquiry (CI), in addition to somatic therapeutic approaches (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy).

I am accredited by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), the regulator for health care professionals (registration number: PYL15832).

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
