Supervision details
One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is offering clinical supervision to colleagues - mental health professionals, therapists, coaches, counsellors and fellow clinical Psychologists.
I have trained as a supervisor in Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy, and I blend personal/experiential and didactic approaches, tailored to the supervisee's needs, and with the client's best interests at heart.
I strongly believe that effective, responsible practice requires the therapist to be aware of, sensitive and responsive to their own inner processes. In supervision, you will be encouraged to consider and reflect on your own experiences, projections and counter-transference, in a warm, non-judgmental and supportive manner.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
