About me

I offer counselling for people who are struggling with self-doubt, overwhelm or feeling stuck AND who feel like nothing has worked for them so far.

You might find yourself feeling misunderstood, having the same conversations again and again, or unsure how to express what really matters to you. You may also be experiencing shame, self-doubt, or a sense of disconnection either from others or within yourself.

You might be going through a break-up, experienced bereavement, struggling to connect with other people or with your loved ones.

In our work together, we slow things down and explore what is happening beneath the surface. We go beyond cognitive understanding and help you to rewire your nervous system to bring real change.

My approach is person-centred, meaning I work at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you. I integrate this with Nonviolent Communication and relational approaches, supporting you to become more aware of your feelings, needs and patterns of relating. I enjoy working somatically, tracking your activation level as well as exploring sensations in your body, when that is comfortable for you.

I bring a combination of emotional attunement and clarity, and I am comfortable working with difficult or sensitive experiences, including shame, trauma, grief and relational pain.

I offer individual counselling as well as sessions for couples or pairs who want support navigating conflict or communication difficulties.

I aim to provide a calm, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can bring whatever is going on for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Foundation Degree in Counselling (Coleg Sir Gâr, expected 2026)
  • Registered Member of the BACP
  • MSc in IT Systems Engineering (Universität Potsdam, 2017)

I have completed counselling placements with:

  • NewPathways, supporting survivors of sexual violence
  • The Bereavement Service at Glangwili Hospital

Through this work, I have supported clients with experiences of trauma, loss, shame and complex emotional challenges.

Alongside my counselling training, I have worked with individuals, couples, groups and communities in conflict, supporting people to stay in dialogue and work through difficult relational dynamics.

I have over 12 years of experience with Nonviolent Communication, including intensive trainings, and leading workshops and ongoing practice groups.

My additional training includes Restorative Circles, Focusing and relational approaches to communication and conflict. I also draw on body awareness and grounding practices to support emotional regulation where helpful.

I engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice, and work under regular supervision in line with ethical guidelines.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a particular interest in working with relational dynamics and recurring patterns in relationships including difficulties with communication, conflict, boundaries and emotional reactivity.

I often work with people who are exploring issues of shame, self-worth and how past experiences may be shaping current ways of relating.

I am interested in the moments where communication breaks down and where we feel stuck, reactive or unable to express what really matters.

My approach may be especially helpful for those who want to understand themselves and their relationships more deeply, and who are open to reflective, relational work.

I also have experience working with non-traditional relationship structures, including non-monogamy.

Further information

I have a particular interest in working with people who want to understand their relationships more deeply not just resolve surface-level issues, but explore the underlying patterns that shape how they relate to themselves and others.

This can include questions around communication, boundaries, intimacy, shame and emotional reactivity.

My work may also be of interest to people who are already reflecting on their inner world and are looking for a space where both emotional depth and clarity are welcomed.

I live in rural Wales and offer sessions online. In-person sessions may be possible locally by arrangement.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so we can see whether working together feels like a good fit. You can find a link for booking on my website.

You’re welcome to get in touch if you have any questions.
