About me
I understand that deciding to start therapy takes courage and I’m here to support you with respect, patience and empathy.
I believe the path to wellbeing is unique for each individual. As an integrative counsellor, I offer a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore what’s brought you to therapy at a pace that feels right for you.
People come to therapy with a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, trauma, addiction, and self-defeating patterns. Sometimes there may be deeper influences shaping how you feel and relate to yourself and others. I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change and I work with care, curiosity and respect for your boundaries.
You don’t have to share everything. We can begin wherever feels most comfortable by working with thoughts, feelings, and patterns without needing to go into detail before you’re ready. If deeper exploration feels right, we can move there together in a way that feels manageable for you. I also regularly review how therapy is going, so we can ensure it continues to meet your needs.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling Skills from the University of Chester (2008) and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (2024). I have over seven years of experience working within the NHS and in private practice, supporting clients with a wide range of mental health experiences.
My approach is integrative, drawing on CBT alongside other evidence-based methods to help address both current challenges and underlying patterns. Together we work with curiosity to enable us to build understanding and develop coping strategies to support meaningful and lasting change.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, get a sense of how I work and decide whether working together feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
