About me
Are you facing challenges in your relationships or battling with low self-esteem? Is anxiety or depression preventing you from living the life you desire? Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to move forward? If managing your emotions or making sense of your experiences feels like an uphill battle, counselling can be helpful in gaining clarity, understanding, and a renewed sense of direction.
Choosing to seek counselling is a courageous decision, and it’s important to find a therapist who resonates with you and your unique needs. I provide a holistic and adaptable therapeutic approach that addresses both your immediate concerns, and the opportunity to explore and understand what underlying issues might also be influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour in more unconscious ways.
As an integrative counsellor, I combine humanistic and psychodynamic techniques. This allows us to focus on your present feelings and personal growth while working together to uncover insights into how past experiences impact your current life and use that understanding to support your journey towards your goals.
Whether you’re looking to resolve something specific, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, or simply find a space to talk things through, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can work towards a more fulfilling and balanced life, whatever that looks like for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I have many years of experience working with addiction, domestic abuse services, and palliative support.
I also offer voluntary support to a charity supporting young people.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer a free short phone call before you commit to any sessions. This call is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better and to see if we’re a good fit.
During our conversation, you can share a little bit about what brings you to counselling, and what you hope to achieve. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have about how I work, therapy in general, or what to expect in our sessions. We can also discuss practical details such as availability, and if our schedules align.
This initial call carries no obligation to proceed with therapy if you decide it’s not the right match for you. My goal is to make you feel at ease in making an informed decision about your next steps. If you’re interested in setting up a call, please feel free to reach out, and we can arrange a convenient time to talk.
If you choose to proceed with counselling, sessions are 50 minutes long and typically held weekly. My counselling room is located above the high street in Ascot and requires climbing stairs, which may pose challenges for those with limited mobility.
To accommodate various needs and preferences, I also offer counselling online and via telephone.
