About me

Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. You may have been carrying things on your own for a long time, wondering if things will ever feel easier. Finding the right counsellor can feel daunting too, so if you've found your way here, it may already be a meaningful first step toward change.

People come to counselling for many reasons. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stressed, stuck in patterns you don't understand, struggling in relationships, navigating a break up, dealing with loss, or simply feeling that something in life isn't quite right. Perhaps you want to feel calmer, more confident, more in control of your emotions, or able to move forward without the weight you've been carrying.

I offer a calm, down-to-earth and supportive space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. Together we can explore what's going on for you, understand why certain patterns may be showing up in your life right now, and begin to make sense of your experiences. My aim is to help you gain clarity, build self-understanding and find more helpful ways to move forward.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to suit you as an individual. No two people are the same, so therapy shouldn't be either. At times I may incorporate gentle mindfulness techniques where helpful, but the focus is always on what feels most supportive and effective for you.

I work with adults, young people (12+) and couples, supporting a wide range of challenges including anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, low mood, life transitions, and feelings of being stuck or lost.

Clients often say they value my calm, kind and grounded approach. Therapy with me is not about judgement or telling you what to do. Instead, it's about creating a safe and supportive space where we can explore things together and help you move toward a place of greater understanding, balance and confidence.

I am a registered member of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and offer both face-to-face sessions and online counselling

I have a lot of experience working with people with learning disabilities and neurodivergence. I have worked closely with people with various Mental Health illnesses and I am a mental health first aider. For many years, I worked with elderly people, working closely with loss, change and various illnesses.

I am a volunteer counsellor at Basildon Mind and I have had experience working in a local school offering counselling to students aged 11-16 years.

A passion of mine is being a Reiki practitioner and  being able to offer hypnotherapy to people.

I have had my own fair share of difficult times and I too have had counselling. I understand how hard it can be to ask for help and to speak to a stranger about personal issues but I also know how beneficial and empowering it is. I will listen, be congruent and hold a non-judgemental space for you to explore what ever struggles you are facing.
