About me
Who am I?
I am a qualified Clinical trauma therapist, who, although person-centred trained, works with an integrative approach, which I tailor to meet each individual's needs. I am experienced in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence, providing sessions over an extended period of time. I also work with a wide range of presenting issues; including anxiety, depression, feeling sad, isolation, low self-esteem and many others. I am sure that I can meet your needs too!
What about you?
Have you spent your life surviving through each moment?
Have you pushed the pain and memories away, pretending, when anyone asks, that everything is ok?
So, these strategies helped you to 'get on with normal life,' to survive. But, it is exhausting to pretend that all is well, everything is 'normal.'. You can't take it anymore; enough is enough!
The strength and resilience you have shown is amazing, but, you deserve so much more..
- A safe space to be you again .
- To find and rediscover yourself again.
- Somewhere to heal.
- A listening ear to hear your story.
- A trusted person who understands how hard it is to open up and share.
- Someone to help alleviate the pain and support your journey to healing.
I understand that putting your trust in a stranger is difficult. That perhaps you have tried therapy before and felt that they did not understand, or get you, or it!
I hope I can change that experience for you.
What can you expect from me?
In our first session together, we will look at what your goals and aims of therapy are, what changes you hope to make, which areas need improvement and talk through any concerns that you have about therapy.
In our work together, I will provide you with;
- A safe and grounded space where you don't have to pretend to be ok.
- A freedom to share your story without fear of judgement, expectations or consequences.
- A flexible, integrative approach that will meet you where you are; psychologically, emotionally and somatically.
- A focus on you as a whole as trauma impacts on more than just your mind.
- A relationship built on compassion, understanding and boundaries to allow you to feel seen, heard and, in time, safely reconnected to yourself again.
I offer both FTF and online sessions in and from my own practice but can offer online anywhere in the country.
If a client wishes to have FTF sessions but is unable to get to my practice and are within a driveable distance, I would offer to go to their home but there would be an extra small charge for fuel costs.
Training, qualifications & experience
My original training was in level 5 person centred therapy, I graduated in 2020. In 2023, I qualified as a Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner, (CCTP).

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer a free 20 minute consultation call to all potential clients to see if we could work well together.
If a client decides to go ahead, I will work with them to compose a plan and set some goals that will address their needs and help them to achieve the best outcome.
On the 6th session, I will complete a review with clients to see how they feel the therapy is meeting their needs, whether their goals have been met and any additional work that still needs to addressed.
These reviews will be carried out on every 6th session thereafter.

Further information
Spending years oversees as a military wife has enabled me to witness the affects that 7 month tours away, serving their country, have on families left behind. I have worked hard to support families to help them cope with the fall out that this has both on serving members, their spouses and children. These experiences have given me the knowledge required to support military members, their families and veterans who have left the service .
My practice is set in a lovely, tranquil garden setting so clients can have a view of nature to help them feel more grounded.
