MBACP Integrative Counsellor

About me

Who I Work With
I support adults and young people who are:

  • Experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma
  • Stuck in self‑critical or shame‑based thinking
  • Navigating major life transitions or relationship challenges
  • Seeking deeper self‑understanding and authentic connection
  • I also work alongside adults and young adults in distress to find safety, self‑trust, and hope through RELATE and The Koru Project.

My counselling practice is grounded in compassion, honesty, and a belief in your potential, rooted in the latest neuroscience evidence showing how our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical wellbeing are intimately connected. Together, we’ll explore these connections to release old patterns, breaking out of ingrained habits, finding more balance, building lasting resilience, purpose, and self-trust.

I work from a perspective that values your unique way of seeing and feeling, how you make sense of your life, relationships, emotions, and challenges. Rather than offering labels or quick fixes, I aim to truly understand how things feel for you, in your world, at your pace.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Where I work

I am a Counsellor offering counselling to clients online and from a comfortable and private location in Corfe Mullen. Locally, my clients come from Wimborne, Bournemouth, Poole, Blandford and the surrounding areas.

My Counselling Style

  • Warm & Non‑Judgmental: You’ll find a safe, compassionate space to share your story.
  • Collaborative & Empowering: We work as partners, your insights guide the process, and I provide tools to help you reconnect with your strengths.
  • Body‑Mind Integration: I use grounding exercises, somatic techniques, and breath‑based tools to help you feel present and embodied.
  • Evidence‑Based: I draw on proven therapeutic modalities, person‑centred, CBT, and internal family systems (IFS), psychodynamic, to tailor sessions to your needs.

My approach is informed by phenomenology, which simply means that I aim to understand your experiences as you live and feel them, not just from a theoretical lens, but from your truth in the moment.
