I am a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (ADMP UK) and Creative Arts Therapist with over two decades of experience of working with adults, children and young people. 

I will offer you a safe and welcoming space where your or child's concerns will be met with warmth and understanding. Dance movement psychotherapy (DMP) is a holistic and creative approach to psychotherapy and shines when words alone can't express the complexity and depth of your lived experience, thoughts and feelings.

Whilst talking can be an important part of our work together, DMP invites you to move beyond words, celebrating the deep interconnectedness between your body and mind and valuing body movement as one of our most accessible forms of communication and self expression.  

For children it can come more naturally to make use of play, movement and art to express themselves and their inner world and I will have different materials (toys, sand tray and art materials) available in the therapy room for children to use. Creative arts therapy can be a inclusive form of therapy for a wide variety of difficulties that may arise during childhood or adolescents, such as low mood or depression, anxiety, friendship issues, anger outbursts, identity or body issues, etc. It can also be a suitable therapy for neurodiverse children or young people and those that are non-verbal or less verbal.
