Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Trauma Therapist, Supervisor

About me

I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 30 years' experience, offering online therapy to adults across the UK.

People often come to see me because they feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or caught in patterns they cannot seem to change. Others come because they are struggling with the effects of trauma, whether from a recent experience or from events that happened much earlier in life. Whatever brings you to therapy, my aim is to offer a space where you feel understood, accepted and able to explore what is happening without judgement.

My approach is integrative and tailored to the individual. Rather than working from a single model, I draw on a range of approaches according to what feels most helpful for you. Alongside traditional talking therapy, I am trained in EMDR and often work from an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed perspective. I also bring a strong awareness of the body into my work, recognising that difficult experiences are often held not only in our thoughts and emotions but also in our nervous system and physical responses.

Over many years in practice, I have found that meaningful change often comes through a combination of feeling genuinely heard, developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, and gently working through the experiences that continue to affect us in the present. Therapy can help us move beyond survival and towards a greater sense of freedom, connection and aliveness.

I work with a wide range of issues, including:

• Trauma and complex trauma
• Anxiety and low mood
• Relationship difficulties
• Low self-confidence and self-esteem
• Challenges associated with neurodivergence
• Procrastination and feeling stuck
• Life transitions, loss and periods of change
• Questions of meaning, purpose and direction

My hope is that therapy offers not only relief from distress but also an opportunity to develop a kinder and more compassionate relationship with yourself, and a way forward to living a freer and more fulfilling life.

If you would like to explore working together, please feel free to contact me by phone or email with a little information about what you are looking for and your availability. I would be happy to hear from you and set up a free 20 minute Zoom session where you can meet me and find out more about how I work.
