Psychotherapist & Counsellor MBACP

About me

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely - even when things appear fine on the surface. You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of feeling stuck. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to carry it alone. Therapy can offer a space to slow down and make sense of what you’re going through.

I am a BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults and young people (16+),  in-person at my practice rooms in Kingston and Thames Ditton, as well as online. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, but it can also be an important first step towards meaningful change. I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of approaches to tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs and circumstances. This might mean untangling past experiences to let go of patterns that no longer serve you, working through present anxiety or simply having a space where you feel heard and understood. My approach is grounded in empathy, integrity, and a commitment to building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to be your authentic self.

I believe that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than offering advice or telling you what to do, my role is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply, helping you gain clarity and feel more confident in your choices. I am mindful of how earlier relationships and life events may still be impacting you today, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

Alongside my private practice, I work within a counselling agency, supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, identity and sexuality and relationship difficulties. I have both personal and professional experience of neurodiversity, particularly ADHD, dyslexia and autism, and the impact this can have on daily life. I also work with young people (16+), recognising the unique pressures that can shape their experiences, including social media, the impact of the pandemic, and the challenges of identity, education, and relationships.

A free introductory phone call gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you - with no pressure or obligation. I offer both short- and long-term therapy, with either weekly, fortnightly, or monthly sessions, depending on your preferences.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
