Karen Le Marchant
Hello, my name is Karen and I am a counsellor based in Guernsey. I have worked and trained in both the Uk and Guernsey where I have lived for 30 years.
I believe we all have the potential to lead fulfilling lives but sometimes we can feel confused, lose direction and become unsure which way to turn. I can offer you a safe, supportive and confidential space where we can explore any concerns or issues that may be troubling you and gently address difficult feelings, free of any judgement. As a Counsellor, I will not tell you what to do or make decisions for you but through working together, help you move forwards, create changes in your life and develop greater self-understanding.
Central to my work is the development of a trusting relationship between client and counsellor; you will be offered acceptance and understanding and perhaps for the first time, be fully heard.
I recognise that we are all unique and so I offer a range of therapeutic approaches and skills in working with you, depending on your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have extensive experience working in education and health in counselling related roles for both the voluntary sector and public service and for the past two years, have volunteered for Guernsey Bereavement Service.
Level 5 Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling (NCS Accred)
