About me
Hi, I'm Kal and I'm glad you're here.
Choosing the right counsellor can feel overwhelming. I understand that first-hand as even counsellors seek therapy, and I’ve been in your shoes. That experience helps me connect with what you may be feeling and needing right now.
Reaching out is a courageous step, and it's absolutely okay to ask for support. Life brings highs and lows, and working with a trained professional can help you navigate those moments with greater clarity and resilience.
I offer a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever challenges you’re facing. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic models to tailor our work to your unique needs, because no two people are the same. You’ll always be seen and respected as an individual, and our work will be grounded in the trust and safety we build together.
I have experience supporting clients through grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, compassion, and practical tools to help you move forward.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years as a qualified health professional. But after experiencing personal loss, I realised my career no longer aligned with my values. That turning point led me to retrain and commit fully to this path, one that feels deeply meaningful and transformative.
If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute call to help us decide if we're the right fit. Feel free to reach out by phone or email, I’d be happy to connect.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
