About me
Hi, I'm Jules. I am a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. Rather than trying to fit you into a particular model or diagnosis, I work collaboratively with you, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, experiences and goals.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to bring all parts of ourselves into the room, not just the parts we find easy to accept. My role is to offer a relationship characterised by warmth, curiosity, honesty and acceptance, where we can explore whatever emerges together.
Sometimes that may involve understanding the impact of earlier experiences, relationships or attachment patterns. Sometimes it may involve noticing how emotions are held in the body, making space for feelings that have been pushed aside, or recognising the ways you have learned to adapt in order to survive. At other times it may simply mean having somewhere to think, feel and be heard without judgement.
Therapy offers the opportunity to become curious about the patterns we inhabit, rather than fighting against them. Together, we can begin to understand how they came to be, what purpose they have served, and whether they still serve you today. My aim isn’t to help you become someone different, but to help you reconnect with yourself so that you can live with greater freedom, self-compassion and authenticity.
Although my work is rooted in humanistic psychotherapy, I integrate ideas from attachment theory, Gestalt therapy, psychodynamic thinking, trauma-informed practice, shame theory, somatic awareness and breathwork. These approaches are there to support our work together, but my focus is always on the unique person sitting in front of me rather than the theory itself.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc in Humanistic & Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute and have been practising since 2023. I've taken additional training in Body Psychotherapy, as well as working with grief, neurodivergence, self-harm, trauma and more.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
If you’d like to get in touch, I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone or online conversation. This gives us an opportunity to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. Choosing a therapist can feel even harder. My hope is that, whether we work together or not, this profile gives you a sense of who I am and how I work.
We’ll begin with an assessment session where I’ll ask questions to build a fuller picture of your experiences and what has brought you to this point. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on. We can discover that together.
Therapy isn’t always easy. Along the way there may be sadness, relief, laughter, frustration, hope or uncertainty. Sometimes old ways of relating can emerge between us, and when they do, they can become valuable opportunities for understanding rather than something to be feared. I’ll support you through this with warmth, openness and curiosity.
Above all, I hope therapy becomes a place where you feel able to bring your whole self.
