About me

Hello, I'm Julie. I am a compassionate and experienced therapist who has spent many years supporting individuals through a wide range of life's challenges. While I specialise in anxiety, I also work with clients experiencing depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, stress, and major life transitions.

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with your emotional wellbeing, or navigating a significant change in your life, I am here to support you.

Together, we can work towards gaining greater clarity and understanding, developing effective coping strategies, and building the confidence and resilience needed to create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Training, qualifications & experience

As a pluralistic counsellor, I recognise that every person's experiences, needs, and goals are unique. This means I tailor my approach to suit you as an individual, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory to explore how past experiences may be influencing your life today, person-centred therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques.

While I support clients with a wide variety of concerns, I have a particular interest in helping those experiencing anxiety. Together, we can explore the factors contributing to your anxiety and develop practical tools and strategies to manage its impact, helping you feel more confident and in control of your daily life.

I offer a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. Through our work together, we can develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and build healthier ways of coping. My aim is to empower you to make meaningful, lasting changes that enhance your wellbeing and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
