About me

Are you struggling with anxiety?  Do you have low self esteem and never feel good enough? Are you fed up of feeling anxious about going to social gatherings and worrying about what other people think of you?  Are you forever trying to get it right but regularly getting it wrong?

My special interest is working with anxiety and having lived with my own anxiety and depression I can understand some of what you are going through.

I help Adults just like you!

Your experience will be individual to you and because of this counselling with me is tailored to suit your needs.  Counselling can help you to gain confidence to enable you to make your own decisions, value who you are and enable you to communicate better with others.  You can gain more effective coping strategies and build resilience.

When you are able to talk about your anxiety, understand it’s causes, and know how your anxiety has become part of your life you can begin to regain control and reduce your symptoms.

Clients tell me that my style of working is relaxed and warm. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion. It is important that you feel comfortable when working with me so that you are able to share your worries and difficulties so that together we can take steps to make things better for you.

It takes courage to take these first steps but if you are ready I am here to help support and empower you.

You Don’t Have To Struggle Alone!

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
