About me
Hi, I’m a Humanistic Integrative and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can talk openly and feel truly listened to. I know it can take courage to reach out, so I work gently, with empathy and without judgment, to help you feel at ease.
I have many years of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of mental health challenges. I believe that everyone holds an innate capacity for growth and healing. With genuine understanding, empathy, and consistent support, people can find their own way through life’s challenges and move toward greater wellbeing.
How I Work
There’s no “one right way” to do counselling; everyone’s different. That’s why I draw on a mix of approaches and shape our sessions around what feels right for you. Sometimes that means exploring specific challenges, other times it’s about getting to know yourself on a deeper level.
Support I Offer
I’m here for you through all of life’s ups and downs, and I also work with people who live with a mental health diagnosis. Sometimes, when life feels steady and you’re in a good place, this can be a really good time to look a little deeper, perhaps into childhood experiences or relationship patterns that keep showing up. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or just want a space that’s completely yours, we’ll go at your pace and focus on what feels most important for you right now.
Training, qualifications & experience
Training & Experience
I’ve trained with CPCAB up to Level 5 in counselling, which has given me a strong foundation in Humanistic Integrative and Psychotherapeutic practice. I’ve also completed additional training in areas such as trauma, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol use, LGBTQIA+ experiences, and neurodiversity.
This means I can offer support that is both compassionate and informed, with an understanding of the different challenges people may bring to counselling.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
