About me
Are you experiencing stress, panic, anxiety or depression? You may have suffered a specific life event or shock, be going through relationship problems, or you may be carrying a long-term problem. You may have no idea why you are feeling this way. I can offer you a confidential space to work with a range of issues, including abuse, anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, work problems, bereavement and anger management.
I offer integrative counselling, that focuses on our therapeutic relationship in order to facilitate change. In our first session together we can talk about your specific issues, as well as your hopes and goals for therapy. I can answer any questions you might have about me or my practice, and we can work out how we might work together. In the first instance, you may want to commit to a limited number of sessions, or you may want a more open-ended approach. We can discuss this in our first session and agree our counselling contract.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative therapeutic counsellor, and I am an accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). I have experience of short and long-term counselling across a wide range of issues, ages and backgrounds. Aside from my private practice, I am a counsellor with the West London Centre for Counselling. This is a NHS funded IAPT high intensity counselling service.
I am trained in person-centred and psychodynamic integrative therapeutic counselling and CBT.
Clinical Qualifications:
- PG Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
- PG Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Skills and Theory, Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
Example of Other Clinical Training:
- Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Intensive Training Course, IATP

- Moving Your Practice Online, the Online Therapy Institute, London.

My background is in higher education. In my role as an academic, I was around many people who were in a constant state of stress, struggling with self-doubt, sacrificing their personal lives, vulnerable to constant feedback and afraid to switch off. Consequently I trained as a therapeutic counsellor, so I could help people improve their mental health.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
