About me

Hello.

I'm Joanna Yeldham - a UKCP accredited psychotherapist.

If you're considering online therapy you're very welcome to get in touch.  I offer a free 15-minute video or phone call to help you get a sense of me and ask any questions you might have.

The sessions I offer are usually 50 minutes in duration.  However, for clients who prefer a longer sitting I offer the option of double sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

MSc. & Clinical. Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (awarded by Middlesex University)

Certified Cyber Therapist (awarded by the Online Therapy Institute).

I've been practising as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 2014.  I moved online during Covid and chose to specialise in online therapy afterwards.

In my experience, online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy if you have privacy, good internet access and are committed to the work.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
