About me

I am a registered and accredited psychotherapist with more than fifteen years of post-qualification clinical experience.

I work with individuals, couples, families and other constellations.

I take a phenomenological, embodied and relational approach to depth-orientated psychotherapy.

My intention is to provide you with a safe and affirming space within which you may think and talk freely about yourself.

I am not here to tell you what to do but to facilitate a conversation in which you can better get to know yourself and your lived experience of the world, and come to the conclusions and solutions that are true to you.

Our work together may be short or long term, depending on your needs and wishes.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my Post Graduate training in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at Regents University London and am a Registered and Accredited member of the BACP. I work within and abide by their code of ethics.

I have been working in private practice for fifteen years. Prior to this I worked in the field of residential addiction and eating disorder treatment. I have an extensive background in the arts.

Having moved my busy Central London clinic online during the COVID-19 pandemic I continue to work digitally in private practice in the West of England, with some appointments and groups available in-person in Bristol.

In additional to general practice I am a certified and specialist Grief and Loss Counsellor, Eating Disorder counsellor and Relationship Counsellor.

I am currently training in Bodydreaming with Marian Dunlea with BodySoul Europe. Bodydreaming is a gentle but powerful, research-driven, way of working with trauma (including developmental trauma) within the traditional framework of talking therapy.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
