About me

I will walk alongside you to help you identify any concerns or issues that are affecting you, explore them safely and confidentially, and support you in rediscovering your inner knowing to overcome them, as I believe we are - and can be - the experts in our own lives.

We are all individuals with our own unique outlook on the world, and as an Integrative Counsellor, I use a tailored mix of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (challenging unhelpful thoughts and behaviours), Psychodynamic (understanding how past experiences might shape your present) and a Person-centred approach (with you in control), to find the best therapy for your specific needs.

I offer both short- and long-term therapy, with a free first consultation (50 mins), and will work with you either face-to-face or via phone or Zoom. I have experience in working with domestic and sexual abuse, relationship issues, menopause and peri-menopause, anxiety, depression, physical illness, bereavement, concerns around diet and food, as well as the stress of just being a human being in these times. Sometimes we just need a place to download.

'We can do hard things.'

Training, qualifications & experience

I am currently have a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have been seeing clients for nearly three years, who have presented with a huge range of issues, from the post-pandemic trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, stress around the menopause, grief, anxiety, depression, physical illness, as well as relationship concerns. I also have a Diploma in Nutrition for Children and Young people, which many clients have found helpful.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
