About me
About Me:
I am an Accredited Integrative Counsellor with a BA (Hons) in Counselling. I hold professional insurance for my counselling practice, have an up-to-date DBS check for working with both adults and children. I am also an Accredited Member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) following their ethical framework.
🤝 My Personal Approach
It can be difficult to seek support when life places obstacles in your path. To help make this process easier, I offer flexible counselling options tailored to your needs:
In-venue sessions
Online
Home visits
Telephone counselling
Walking therapy outdoors in nature.
My own life experiences have shaped my empathetic and non-judgemental nature. I understand the value of having a safe, confidential space to offload, be heard and feel accepted. My aim is to support you to move forward at your own pace, with compassion and understanding.
As part of counselling, I provide information and signposting to local mental health and wellbeing services, including relevant charities. This offers you the option of wraparound support alongside counselling, and the flexibility to transition into early intervention or preventative services when you're ready to step away from counselling.
🧠 Professional Background:
In addition to my private counselling practice, I also work as part of a Mental Health Team within the NHS and Charity Sector. In this role, I support individuals with diagnosed mental health conditions and neurodivergent profiles. This role gives me a strong understanding of community mental health / wellbeing services and allows me to:
Access up-to-date training.
Work ethically and in line with best practice.
Signpost to relevant services for additional or wraparound support.
Bridge the gap by working across private, statutory and charity sectors meaning I maintain a broad network of community links and support pathways.
