About me

Do you think and feel deeply? More than most? Have you been described as too sensitive? I may well be a good match for you. I work well with those who wish to enquire within; to understand themselves and process their emotions at greater depth.

My practice has been described as inclusive and neuro-affirming; tending to attract creative, highly sensitive people and clients with varying profiles of AuDHD. My practice lends itself well to the grey areas of life; complex issues of morality, identity and belonging.

I'm interested in meaning making; by the stories we come to believe about ourselves, shaped by relationship and culture, and I'm fascinated by personal growth and how, using therapy as a tool, we can transcend old beliefs and ideas that no longer serve us to reconnect with what feels authentic for us today and reshape our future.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Advanced Professional Diploma in Counselling Theory and Therapeutic Practice as well as a Certificate in Working Creatively With Clients, both accredited by the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society).

Working creatively can involve clients sharing their writing, poetry, artwork and music, should they so wish, and usually includes dreamwork.

I have had the privilege of working at The Quiet Mind Centre in Exmouth, a charity who's core mission statement is "Mental health support shouldn't be a luxury". Currently I am working with Therapy Services Southwest in Paignton who are "on  a mission to empower neurodiverse communities to thrive". People often come to Therapy Services Southwest having just found out they are Autistic or have ADHD.

I am NCPS Accredited MNCPS (Accred) and work within their ethical framework; I'm an Individual Member of BACP and abide by their ethical code of conduct and I'm a member of the global directory of Neurodivergent Practitioners, adhering to their Shared Commitments.
