About me

Who I work with
I work with children (7+), teens and adults.

Working with children

I use a range of creative and playful approaches, following the child's lead and drawing on their interests. Play is a child's natural language, and sessions are tailored to what feels most comfortable and engaging for them. This might include drawing, painting, clay, water play, sand tray and small world play, imaginative play, puppets, drama, movement, or music.

For many young people, putting difficult feelings into words can feel overwhelming. Creative play provides a gentle way to explore emotions through stories, imagination, and metaphor, helping them express themselves, understand their experiences, and work through challenges in a safe and supportive space.

Working with teenagers

Many of the teenagers I work with are struggling with anxiety or panic attacks, OCD, autistic burnout, challenges at school, self-harm, or thoughts of suicide. I provide a calm and supportive space where they can explore what they are experiencing at their own pace, without pressure or judgement.

As well as talking, I draw on creative and art-based approaches and other therapeutic tools to help young people express themselves, understand their feelings, and find ways to cope with difficult experiences. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), which can help young people understand and build compassionate relationships with the different parts of themselves. Sessions are available both online and in person, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for the young person.

Alongside my private practice, I also work in primary and secondary schools and with the children’s mental health charity, Eggtooth (Hastings).

Working with adults
When working with adults, I often explore the relationship with the inner child — the part of us that may feel wounded, unheard, or stuck in patterns shaped by earlier experiences. By offering curiosity and compassion to these parts, we can begin to understand and gently shift unhelpful patterns.

Life can bring many challenges, including difficulties in relationships, parenting, addiction, grief, trauma, or loss. I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences openly and at your own pace.

With training and experience in child development, neurodiversity, and ADHD, I also support parents and carers in navigating parenthood, developing realistic expectations, and understanding their children’s needs at different stages of development.

My approach
Empathy, respect, and collaboration are at the heart of my work. I see you as the expert in your own life and offer a warm, compassionate space where you can pause, reflect, and explore what’s been challenging for you at your own pace.

In our sessions, we may explore your thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses, and how these interact with your lived experience — including relationships, family life, work, and how you relate to yourself and others. Together, we’ll gently explore unmet needs, fears, or anxieties that may be holding you back, and consider more supportive and sustainable ways of relating.

I work integratively, tailoring sessions to your individual needs and drawing on Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural approaches. This flexible way of working allows therapy to evolve as we discover what feels most helpful for you. I also have experience and training in working with neurodiversity and ADHD. While this process can feel challenging at times, you will always be met with care, respect, and understanding.

What’s the next step?
If you feel I might be the right therapist for you, please get in touch to arrange an initial consultation. This is an informal session where we can talk about what you’re hoping for from counselling and whether my approach feels like a good fit.

I aim to make counselling as accessible as possible and offer a limited number of sliding scale spaces. If cost feels like a barrier, please mention this when you get in touch and we can discuss options together.
