About me
Hi, and welcome. I’m Jaye, a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist based in Stockport, Greater Manchester. I offer a neuro-affirmative approach and bring lived experience as a queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent person to my practice. I work in the Stockport area and remotely across the UK.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, or simply managing the pressures of modern life, I am here to support you in a space that respects exactly who you are. As an integrative practitioner, I draw upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic practices to ensure our work is tailored to your unique needs, helping you gain clarity and confidence in yourself.
I work with people from all walks of life, and as someone deeply invested in advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the importance of finding a therapist who truly gets your lived experience. Please note that you do not need to identify in these ways to work with me; my practice is open to anyone including those who are currently questioning their identity or exploring their needs.
If this way of working sounds like it would be helpful for you, please feel free to check out my website, send me a message or reach out to book a free consultation so we can explore how we might work together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I aim to make the start of therapy as easy and accessible as possible.
- Initial connection: I provide a free, no-pressure 20-minute chat to discuss what brings you to counselling and answer any questions you may have. This can take place online or over the phone. There is no obligation to proceed further; this is simply an opportunity to explore if we are the right fit for your needs.
- Our first meeting: This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and briefly cover the practical details of how we work together, to make sure you feel comfortable and safe in a supportive space. This can take place in person, online, or over the phone.
- At your own pace: There is no need to have everything "figured out"; we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
