About me

I am a Senior Psychotherapist in an NHS Community Mental Health Team, and I also have a well-established private psychotherapy practice based in Sidcup, Kent.

I am passionate about helping people overcome past experiences that are still impacting them in the present and affecting their decision-making and choices for the future. My approach combines evidence-based EMDR with psychodynamic psychotherapy, with an added twist of outdoor space and Equine therapy, if desired.  Offering both structured trauma processing and a deeper understanding of the patterns that shape behaviours and ways of relating to others.

I work with adults, adolescents, and children. I enjoy watching people develop and grow in their therapy, changing entrenched negative perceptions of themselves, helping them gain new perspectives, face new challenges, and overcome fears. I think it is vital for a person to feel empowered and shown the tools to equip them with the ability to regulate, self-soothe, and understand themselves better.

Whether your child is struggling with school stress, your teenager is experiencing anxiety linked to the pressures of growing up, or you are carrying the impact of a past trauma, I provide a safe and supportive space to work through challenges with a unique option of the safety and comfort of a cosy, therapy room or the freedom of an outdoor space in nature, you make the choice according to your preference.. Please take a look at my website https://horse4thought.co.uk for testimonials and further information about me,  my therapy room, and my herd of horses.
