About me
Hi. My name is Jane and I offer one to one counselling and therapy services either face to face or online.
My approach is to sit alongside you, to look at the issues you choose to bring to each session, working out together how to work with and through them.
You will experience acceptance without judgement in our time together.
My role is to create a kind and compassionate space where you feel accepted as you are and safe enough to bring whatever you choose to.
Working together you will find you can move forward to where you would like to be.
Training, qualifications & experience
I bring a wealth of experience from a career working in further education colleges and within the criminal justice sector, in prisons.
Now working as a qualified counsellor and therapist, having gained a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have worked with people from all walks of life experiencing all sorts of issues and challenges.
I will use a variety of tools and techniques in our sessions to best suit what you choose to share.
I can work with you where you are at and have experience in the following:
- suicide and self-harm
- working with young people
- grief bereavement and loss
- relationship issues
- anxiety, fears and worries
- emotional issues
- finding yourself …..who am I?
- menopause and its impact on you
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
