About me

I'm a relational gestalt psychotherapist and I offer a safe and grounded therapy space, for you to explore and make sense of how life has been for you and how you might want to live going forwards.

It could be that you have lost you way and a dedicated time to re-connect with what you really want, could be useful at this time? Or perhaps something happened, that hurt so much, that you just can’t go a day without feeling its pain and to sit down and talk about how you are actually doing and how you are experiencing that pain, might feel a little less lonely and a whole lot clearer? Or, of course, it could be something completely different...

My practice is creative and collaborative and I support people to cultivate and nourish their own deep wisdom and understanding of themselves. There's a photo of my practice rooms below, so that you can see whether you'd feel comfortable there and if you sense that we could work well together, you're very welcome to call me or email me to book a session in, or to ask any questions that you might have before we begin.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a fully qualified relational gestalt psychotherapist, registered with UKCP and I trained to masters level at the Scarborough Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Institute. I engage in weekly supervision and I hold an Enhanced DBS.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.
