About me
Hi, I’m Jade, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist offering in-person therapy in Golders Green, North West London, and online therapy for adults across the UK.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk things through at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. My hope is that therapy gives you the chance to feel heard, understood, and a little more like yourself again.
I work with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional eating, and relationship struggles. I’m especially interested in how body image, self-worth, and our relationship with food are shaped by deeper aspects of self, a focus explored in my research on self-concept and weight.
Every therapy session is tailored to you. Using an integrative, evidence-based approach, we can focus on what feels most meaningful to you, whether that’s making sense of your emotions, working through difficult thoughts, or developing supportive coping tools.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are conducted in person, over the phone, or via secure video. I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call so you can ask any questions and get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit.
If you’re curious or unsure whether therapy is right for you, feel free to get in touch. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m an HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist and a fully qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I hold a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). I also have a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology, both accredited by the BPS.
My training integrates a range of approaches, including existential therapy, cognitive and behavioural therapies (CBT), humanistic methods, and psychodynamic techniques. This means I can tailor therapy to your unique needs.
I’ve had the privilege of supporting people from many different walks of life, and I truly value the process of building meaningful, collaborative relationships.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I specialise in working with individuals who feel stuck in patterns of emotional eating, low self-worth, and struggles around body image. My therapeutic focus is on the deeper psychological roots of these difficulties, including unresolved trauma, internalised shame, and challenges around identity and self-concept. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore how early experiences may have shaped your relationship with food, weight, and yourself, and to support lasting emotional healing.
