About me

Maybe anxiety has been keeping you up at night, a relationship feels harder than it should, or you just want to understand yourself better. Whatever it is you’re facing, we can make sense of it and find a way forward, together.

What I can help with
I have supported people through a wide range of difficulties and life experiences, including:

  • Anxiety, panic attacks
  • Depression, emptiness or numbness
  • Loneliness, feeling disconnected
  • Relationship difficulties (partners, family, or friends)
  • Feeling worthless, self-critical, and self-loathing
  • Loss, grief and bereavement
  • Work-related problems, burnout
  • Sexual issues, intimacy concerns
  • LGBTQ+ experiences, including identity, coming out

How I work
At the heart of my practice is the relationship we build together. In each session, I’ll be guided by what feels important to you, as we explore your thoughts, feelings and memories. We’ll also pay attention to your bodily sensations, which can sometimes reveal deeper insights than reflection alone.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training is in integrative psychotherapy, which means I draw on a range of approaches - humanistic, psychodynamic, and existential - depending on what feels most useful for you. My work is trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirmative.

I have an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University London. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework, which includes receiving regular clinical supervision. I am fully insured.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

How long does therapy take?
For some people, a few sessions is enough, while others find it valuable to continue for much longer. After the introductory session, I usually suggest we begin with a block of 6 sessions, then take stock together and decide how to proceed. You’re free to end whenever it feels right for you.

What’s the first step?
You can get in touch to arrange a free 30-minute introductory session, in person or online, with no obligation. This is a chance to talk about what’s brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work so you can see whether we’d be a good fit before committing to anything.

Additional information
Sessions last 50 minutes and are held at the same time each week.

If anything here resonates, get in touch - we’ll start with a simple conversation and see where it goes.
