About me
Many of us grow up with a tough inner voice that tells us we’re not good enough, not doing enough or we 'should' be doing more. Over time, that inner critic can quietly chip away at our confidence and self-worth which makes life feel heavier than it needs to be. This can show up in lots of ways — low confidence, anxiety, stress, feeling overwhelmed, depression, or just feeling a bit lost or disconnected from others.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re not alone. You may have been carrying a lot by yourself — say you are coping, pushing through, or trying to hold everything together. Or perhaps you’ve reached a point where you know something needs to change, but you’re unsure where to begin.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin therapy. You just need a space where you can be yourself, without judgement, pressure or the need to explain everything perfectly. That’s the space I aim to create.
How I work
My approach is human, honest, and grounded in real connection. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood — My role isn’t to fix you or tell you who to be, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of what’s been going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I work in an integrative, humanistic way, drawing from CBT and adapting my approach depending on your age, needs, and what feels comfortable. No single type of therapy fits everyone. We are all shaped by our experiences, families, cultures, identities, and the ways we’ve learned to cope.
For children and young people, this might mean using creativity, curiosity, and gentle exploration. For adults, it might mean slowing down, understanding old patterns, and building new ways of relating to yourself and finding self-worth. For everyone, it means feeling safe, heard and supported.
What I can help with:
I support children, young people, and adults with a range of difficulties, including:
Low self‑esteem and self‑confidence — feeling not good enough, self‑criticism, not having opinions and struggling to trust your own voice
Anxiety and stress — constant worrying, overthinking, school or work pressure, feeling overwhelmed and noticing things are bothering you more
Depression and low mood — feeling stuck, flat, or disconnected from yourself or others
Relationship and family difficulties — afraid of conflict, communication struggles, or feeling unsafe or unseen
Identity and life transitions — changes at school, work, friendships, or within yourself, lost your sense of purpose
Emotional regulation — big feelings, shutdowns, or finding it hard to express emotions so you supress them
Impact of past experiences — patterns that keep repeating, people‑pleasing and not setting boundaries.
My aim is to help you understand what has been happening beneath the surface and develop ways of coping that feel supportive rather than exhausting.
Reaching Out:
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're unsure of what to expect. An initial conversation offers a space to ask questions, share as much or as little as feels comfortable and get a sense of how I work. If you feel you are struggling with any of the problems above or just want to have an introductory meeting to see if therapy is right for you, please book an introduction call or reach out via email and we can explore this together.
I can understand how difficult it can be trying to fit everything into a busy schedule. Online sessions allow you to seek support, without the need for extra time to get to and from a session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

How to start?
It is a good idea to book a free initial online consultation with me where we can explore what brings you to therapy and whether the process feels right for you. Then, if you are happy to go ahead, I have a private practice in Deal or we can work together online.
I work with clients on an open-ended basis; it is totally dependant upon what you need at the time of you seeking therapy. Our work can range from anything between six sessions (short-term) to two years or more (long-term). A session lasts 50 minutes and takes place once a week, usually on the same day and time, unless otherwise arranged.
