About me
If you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues or simply feeling stuck, we can work together to deepen understanding, support change, and promote healing. I offer a warm, down to earth, and non-judgemental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
My approach is integrative, compassionate and relational. I draw on a range of theories to tailor our work to your unique needs. Together we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to help you make sense of what’s happening, find clarity, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
If this sounds familiar, send me a message with a few lines about what’s going on, or simply say ‘I’d like to meet’ — I’ll guide you from there.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Level 7 qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with training that draws from person-centred, psychodynamic, and relational approaches. This means I tailor therapy to your individual needs — helping you explore both present concerns and the deeper patterns that may be shaping your experiences.
I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a registered member of the BACP, working in line with their ethical framework. I also hold an MA in Interdisciplinary Psychology, which gives me a broad and compassionate understanding of human complexity. My published research explores the ethics of psychology as a discipline, reflecting my commitment to thoughtful, responsible, and compassionate practice.
My experience includes working in community counselling services, low-cost therapy clinics, and private practice, supporting adults facing a wide range of issues — including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, and relationship difficulties. I engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, informed, and responsive to your needs.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
