About me

I work from my consulting room by Peckham Rye Common and I also work over the phone and internet including online video. I work during the day and in the evenings.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained as an attachment based psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I completetd this training in 2011 and registered with the UKCP in 2015. Before this I trained and worked as a mental health nurse and cognitive behavioural therapist. I also worked at the Institute of Psychiatry , King's College London as a lecturer practitioner in mental health. I have 25 years experience as a mental health worker. I have worked in many different areas of mental health including drug and alcohol use, serious mental illness and assessment, depression and anxiety difficulties, and relationship issues. I have experience working with ADHD and self esteem issues.

I am also a musician and some of my work as a psychotherapist is with people with performing and creative backgrounds.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Key details

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My consulting room is on the ground floor. There is one small step up to the front door and one in the hallway. Space for a wheelchair in the hall way and for motorized chair in the porch.
