About me
Hello, I'm Lexie, a Humanistic Integrative counsellor based in Central London.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, feelings of loneliness, or finding yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You may also be navigating a significant life transition, questioning your sense of identity, or wondering where you belong.
I offer a warm, reflective, and collaborative therapeutic space where we can explore whatever is bringing you to therapy. My work is grounded in Humanistic values and informed by a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to adapt to your individual needs. Alongside exploring present-day difficulties, we may also reflect on the experiences, relationships, and patterns that shape how you understand yourself and relate to others.
I have experience working with clients from a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and sexual backgrounds, and I welcome people from all walks of life.
I offer online counselling in a secure and confidential setting. I generally recommend weekly sessions at a regular time, as consistency often helps to create a stable foundation for therapeutic work.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial conversation, please feel free to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifications
-
Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)
-
Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, CPPD London
Experience
My clinical placement experience includes long-term counselling at Talking Counselling and short-term NHS-referred work at Women and Health.
Across these settings, I have supported clients experiencing recurring relational patterns, difficulties around identity and belonging, low self-esteem, and the impact of early relational trauma, often experienced internally as a strong inner critic and ongoing emotional struggles in adult life.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
