About me
Hi, I’m a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist working integratively, drawing on a range of approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. I offer a compassionate, and trauma-informed space where you can feel safe, heard, and supported. I work collaboratively and, where helpful, incorporate creative approaches to support expression, especially when words feel difficult.
I work with adults, children, and young people experiencing a range of emotional and relational challenges, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My approach is always tailored to the individual, recognising that each person’s story and needs are unique.
Alongside my work with adults, I have extensive experience supporting children and young people across education, health, and social care settings. My work is developmentally informed and adapted to each stage of life, using play and creative approaches with younger children, and a more conversational, reflective style with older children and teenagers. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent young people and adults, including extensive knowledge and practical experience of Autism and ADHD, and those facing challenges accessing and engaging in education.
I also offer sessions for parents and carers, providing space to better understand a child’s needs, reflect on the impact of caring, and build confidence in supporting them.
Additionally, I am also able to support couples experiencing relationship challenges, helping to foster open communication and a collaborative way of exploring and understanding difficulties together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc full (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, including specialised training in working with children, young people, and couples. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with trauma, emotional wellbeing challenges, and neurodiversity, including Autism and ADHD. My professional background is diverse, allowing me to draw on a breadth of experience to inform my approach.
I am committed to continuous professional development and regularly undertake additional training and courses to respond to specific client needs.
