About me
I know how tough life can be when you feel distressed, anxious, sad, lost or in pain about where you are in your life. I believe that through good quality therapy, it is possible to find a light at the end of the tunnel and regain hope, or understand yourself better and be able to change direction.
I offer a safe and non judgemental space for you, as an individual or as a couple, to come and explore your emotions and feelings. Whatever is going on in your life, change is possible through building awareness, self acceptance and finding the right path. I will come with you on your journey, offering guidance, support and sometimes gentle challenge to help you achieve your goals.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified person centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist but I draw on a number of other modalities to suit my client if necessary. We are all unique and I recognise that each client will be different in what is needed and how we would work together.
I work with young adults, adults and couples in my confidential and comfortable counselling rooms in the heart of Princes Risborough. I offer a free initial meeting so you can meet me and decide if I am the right therapist for you; the counselling relationship is fundamental to a meaningful outcome so its important for you to see if I am right for your needs. During that meeting, I would talk you through what I offer and how I think I could help, and allow you the opportunity to ask me any questions you might have. After that, I work as flexibly as you need, and offer both short and long term counselling plans.
I qualified through the CPBAP Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body, and undertook my diploma at Number 22 in Maidenhead and my Relationship Counselling training at Langley Therapy. I have also done intensive training in many distinctive areas including domestic violence, anger management, OCD, stress management, anxiety disorders, autism, ADHD and neurodiversity to name just a few.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
