About me
I offer face to face sessions in my practice, or online sessions via zoom. I understand that looking for a therapist can be a bit daunting, so I make it as easy as possible for you. I'm friendly, down to earth, and will help you feel as comfortable as possible in this process. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw from a range of approaches and theories which include, Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Attachment Theory. I believe that what happens to us as children can have an affect on who we are today, and how we relate to others, as well as how we treat ourselves. I work with you to help you look at what things have influenced your life, both in the present as well as when you were younger, so that the changes that you seek can be permanent and rather than a temporary fix .
My experience spanning over 8 years of working as a therapist, some of that in the NHS, in charities, and in my own private practice, means that I bring wisdom and experience coupled with a rigorous training at PG Dip, and MSc Level. Prior to that I worked in university settings, with experience as a senior lecturer for many years, and previously working as a designer, in the world of business and marketing in London and abroad. With my experience of working throughout my life in various settings, I'm now able to offer a deeper understanding into life's stresses, anxieties, work settings and power struggles, imposter syndrome, bullying and insecurity, and depression. Difficulties that you may experience daily, can have a huge impact day to day on how you feel and function as a person. This can change, there is hope for a better life, I can help you to work with, low self-esteem, low mood, feeling directionless, family relationship issues, dissatisfaction, workaholism, addictions, trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, and sexual abuse. I also have a special interest, as well as research that I did, involving ADHD and so now work with people with a diagnosis, or who don't, and suspect they are. We can re-evaluate life as an ADHDer both in self worth as well as practical techniques to help, and some coaching in this area of your life.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
