About me
I'm Helen, a gestalt psychotherapist. I offer an inclusive, non-judgmental space, where I can support you to more deeply understand the situations that have brought you to therapy. I am committed to trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, neurodivergent-aware and queer-affirmative practices. We can work together towards:
- Deepening awareness
- Exploring the places where you feel stuck
- Reconnecting with yourself and the world
- Gaining self-awareness and self-acceptance
- Finding new ways of relating and enriching your relationships
- Identity exploration
- Recovering from shame.
My areas of interest include (but are not limited to): neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, Dyspraxia...), LGBTQIA+ identities (gender, sexuality, including asexuality), living with chronic illness, spirituality & religion (I am open to all spiritual traditions and backgrounds), grief of all kinds, anxiety, working with people for whom English is not their first language, working with therapists and trainee therapists.
It may feel daunting to begin therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship founded on support from the therapist. I offer a reduced-rate first session (£25 for 50 minutes) so we can take the time to meet each other to explore what you are looking for help with, discuss possible ways forward and see if we feel comfortable together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy and I have been in clinical practice since 2021. I regularly undertake CPD training in different areas in order to broaden my knowledge and support my practice. I also enjoy contributing to the field through writing and am interested in research.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

In Gestalt therapy, we explore together what’s happening for you in the moment: your feelings, thoughts, and the ways you meet or withdraw from others. I help you notice patterns that may once have protected you but now feel limiting. Through this awareness, new possibilities emerge, bringing a greater sense of ease, authenticity, and connection with yourself and others.
Eye contact not required! :)
