About me

  • Hello and welcome to Helen-Melissa Counselling.

Covid-19 Update 02/11/2020:

In-line with the latest Government Guidelines, I am able to continue offering face-to-face sessions. The existing Covid-19 safety measures will remain in place during Lockdown 2.

I also offer therapy via confidential online video-chat or telephone. If you would like to book a consultation or have any questions, please get in touch.

Are you feeling anxious or stressed? Is life feeling overwhelming or too challenging? Perhaps you are needing help to overcome anxiety, panic attacks, depression, are suffering low self-confidence or are experiencing relationship, family or work difficulties?

Whatever your reason for counselling, whether it's big or small...get in touch to see how I can help.

I am a fully qualified, Registered BACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I work with both individuals and couples  and I offer the professional support you need when change feels too difficult to achieve alone.

As a counsellor, I provide a supportive and confidential therapy service. I will work collaboratively with you to address any current problems you are facing and together we may also work though any unresolved issues from the past. I will draw upon a range of different therapy models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) depending on your individual needs. In this way you can hope to gain the most from therapy and achieve real results which stay with you.

I offer professional help for all kinds of emotional distress such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Panic Disorder
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Relationship Issues

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
