About me
My invitation is for you to come just as you are, and together, we can explore the areas that you're finding difficult and the emotions that emerge for you.
How I work:
I believe everyone possesses the potential for a fulfilling and meaningful life and that people are deserving of fundamental human connection. My therapeutic style is rooted in understanding and appreciating your uniqueness and the whole of who you are; the relationship and developing trust with one another sits at the heart of my work.
I believe in crafting a tailored approach for each individual, ensuring that you receive the best support aligned with your specific goals and needs. Often, past experiences can influence how we navigate our present lives, leading to repetitive and unproductive patterns that leave us feeling stuck, frustrated and isolated. While understanding how our past influences our present is important, staying there too long can lead us to feel lost and in pain.
By looking at past and present experiences together in the here and now, we can understand how emotional scars affect reactions to new experiences and relationships. I believe that healing from difficult experiences doesn’t always mean having to relive them. Instead, it's about exploring your current feelings in the present and gradually building your ability and capacity to hold the pain, build emotional resilience to these wounds, and find new meaning.
We might not always understand why things happen as they do, but the meaning we create from even the most challenging circumstances can bring light to the darkest corners of our lives.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Reaching out for help is incredibly scary, and deciding whether to seek counselling can spark many questions and doubts. If this is your first time considering counselling or you’ve had a negative experience with counselling in the past, it’s understandable to feel anxious and apprehensive. Rest assured that once you've taken the first step to get in touch, we can talk through your needs and decide together if we are a good fit.

In-person counselling sessions are held at my home, which I share with my two dogs. While the dogs will be present in the house during sessions, they will not be in the therapy room.
