About me

Hello, my name is Glenys, and I am an experienced Qualified Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with my own Independent Practice.

I am a Person Centred practitioner with over fifteen years experience in counselling a variety of issues.  I hold a Masters in Counselling Skills and Level 5 in Psychotherapy Counselling. I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP), and, I am an Accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS).

It may feel a little daunting to reach out for counselling, though it is a strength to say you need some support within your life.  What is counselling? Counselling is a talking therapy where problems, worries, stresses and concerns can be discussed in a confidential, safe, and non-judgemental environment.  Working alongside each other, we work towards addressing and sometimes resolving, the current issues that can consume your life. Counselling is empowering in allowing you to make choices and sometimes change aspects of your life, finding ways of coping, which you may not have felt able to do in the past.  We uncover your potential to be the best you can, and I support you in this journey.

Please feel free to contact me on my confidential counselling mobile to discuss your needs in more detail, where I can answer your queries directly.  Alternatively, you can visit my website at www.care2talk.co.uk. (Which is in the process of being updated). Please leave a message on my counselling mobile number should it go to voicemail. I am probably with a client, and I will get back to you once I am available. Please also check your spam folder as occasionally my replies have been diverted to spam.

My charges are available upon request.  I work with Universities, Colleges, Private Medical companies, the General Public, Employers and GP practices, to name a few.  I can offer block bookings.

Should you require any further information, then please don't hesitate to contact me.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
