About me
Welcome.
Whether you are considering therapy for personal growth, to address a specific issue, to navigate an existential crisis, or because you feel something is not quite right within you/in your life and you wish to make sense of things, I will tailor a treatment around your needs & offer you a safe confidential space where you can feel heard and your experience contained. Through the use of an integrative therapeutic approach I can support you in feeling empowered and more equipped with the right tools to feel more in control of your life and achieve the things that are important to you, overcoming the hurdles that are perhaps stopping you from moving forward in your life.
It is not always easy to look at the issues we are experiencing or at the things within ourselves that we feel need changing, therapy can help explore & navigate these in a safe manner creating an inspiring and empowering experience of self-discovery, reflection and growth.
In my role as psychologist/psychotherapist my focus is to value your uniqueness, ensure you feel heard and not alone, and to support you in being curious about your lived experience and navigate difficulties effectively to reach a more fulfilling life experience.
Integrity and authenticity are pivotal to my way of being and practicing. I am a friendly, warm individual and I work in an empowering, compassionate, empathic manner; I believe in a collaborative respectful therapeutic space.
As an experienced qualified clinician I am well aware of how privileged I am in being able to support people from all walks of life and being offered their trust. This trust I cherish & honour.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist. I have many years of experience working in private practice and also in different secondary care mental health NHS services. In my role in the NHS I work as a Senior Highly Specialised Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist where I also hold a position of responsibility within the team.
In my Private practice I currently offer treatment in person in a conveniently located therapy space in the heart of Crouch End and on remote online/video platform. I also offer some evenings and weekend sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience
I had the privilege of studying in several Institutions in the UK at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Master level and also on my final Doctoral training as Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist. I trained in Existential, Integrative, Person-centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive-behavioural therapy. I have attended extensive clinical trainings in many modalities and I am also a trained therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET).
I believe life is complex and different therapeutic tools & skills can enable more effective interventions and outcomes. I integrate practices from different modalities whilst I honour an existential stance at core. This stance values the importance of responsibility, authenticity , fluidity and the relational aspect of human existence. I believe as humans we are in a constant process of becoming; I aim at supporting clients in engaging with life with an attitude of wonder and open-mindedness.
I have a particular interest and extensive experience in complex trauma, relational struggles, and existential issues. I also have extensive experience working with stress & burnout, and across a wide range of other difficulties including self-esteem & self-confidence, sadness, anxiety & depression etc.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Therapeutic Agreement
Prior to starting treatment I will provide you with the therapeutic agreement - this is an important document that clients need reviewing prior to starting treatment. A therapeutic agreement offers an illustration of the principles of the working therapeutic collaboration (e.g. time, fees, sessions etc.) and defines how the client and the therapist will work together including the relevant rights and responsibilities for both. This ensures clients can give ‘informed consent and agreement’ and a clear working framework in set to enhance the creation of a reciprocally respectful safe therapeutic space. The treatment can begin once I receive the confirmation of informed consent and agreement.
