About me

Hello. I am a compassionate and experienced  psychotherapist working from spacious and comfortable premises in Marple, face to face, on-line and by phone. I offer long or short term therapy to people over the age of eighteen.

I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for you to explore whatever it is you need to bring, to feel heard and start to start to heal. Together we will look at what is happening from different angles and you may be surprised at the choices and insights that arise.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained to MSc level in person-centred and experiential psychotherapy and am accredited with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists. This ensures I have a high level of training and experience and that I remain updated in my practice.

As well as my private practice I have counselled for MIND the mental health charity and have provided bereavement counselling for Macmillan.

Before becoming a therapist I worked as a nurse and midwife. I learnt to appreciate the strength people could find when encountering their most extreme emotions and how to be with people at these times.

I have worked as a specialist midwife in mental health and now have a speciality in mental health problems around pregnancy, birth and parenting. Please see my website for more details.
