About me

I am an integrative Arts Psychotherapist grounded in the understanding of early attachment relationships and how these are connected to people's present difficulties. I am also trained in DDP (Dyadic Development Psychotherapy) which can be a helpful approach to improve family relationships and also have experience in Theraplay. I am able to draw on these techniques to support clients in the best possible way.

I believe in the importance of the relationship between the therapist and the client and finding the most appropriate way of working with them as individuals.

I am a fully qualified HCPC registered and DBS checked Art Psychotherapist and have several years’ experience of working with adults and children in primary care settings and the charity sector. (HCPC registrant number AS15132). I have full professional indemnity insurance.

I set up Willow Therapy because I have seen over years of experience that art therapy can be a very powerful healing tool.  I have extensive experience working with young people and adults with a history of anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, bereavement and loss, social isolation and loneliness, depression, abuse, issues around self-identity, self-harm, neuro diversity, feelings of sadness and dissatisfaction with life.

Please feel free to make contact if you wish to ask any further questions. Looking for a therapist and beginning therapy can often feel daunting so it's important you give yourself time to consider things.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
