About me

Gemma Louise, Licensed Counsellor Specialising in Women's Intimate Health.

With a deep commitment to empowering women and a passion for facilitating transformative change, Gemma Louise is a licensed counsellor who specializes in women's intimate health. Her areas of expertise include addressing sexual dysfunction, overcoming codependency issues, enhancing self-esteem, navigating menopause and hormonal changes, and breaking free from toxic environments, whether in the workplace or personal relationships.

Over the course of her distinguished career, Gemma has had the privilege of working with women across the globe. Her journey has taken her to diverse cultures and communities, enriching her understanding of the universal challenges women face. This global perspective informs her holistic and empathetic approach, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and understood.

One of Gemma’s core philosophies is the belief that many of the challenges women encounter in their adult lives stem from subconscious choices shaped by childhood trauma. By delving deep into these foundational experiences, she helps her clients unravel and heal from past wounds. Through this process, women can reclaim their power and reshape their lives according to their true desires and aspirations.

Gemma’s approach is integrative and personalized, combining evidence-based techniques with compassionate guidance. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where women can explore their intimate health concerns, develop healthier relationships, and build robust self-esteem. Her work is not just about overcoming obstacles but about fostering a profound sense of self-empowerment and control.

Gemma’s dedication to her clients is deeply personal, stemming from her own journey of despair to triumph. She understands firsthand the struggles of overcoming trauma and reclaiming one’s life, and she brings this empathy and insight into every counselling session. Her own story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for those she works with, demonstrating that healing and empowerment are not just possible but attainable.

In her practice, Gemma offers over-the-phone counselling, believing that many women feel more confident and open when speaking behind a phone. She also provides typing therapy, recognizing that seeing words typed out can bring transformational results. This unique approach allows clients to process their thoughts and feelings in a tangible and reflective manner, fostering deeper insights and healing.

In addition to her one-on-one counselling sessions, Gemma is also a sought-after speaker and workshop leader. She has conducted numerous workshops and seminars aimed at educating and empowering women to take charge of their intimate health and overall well-being.

Whether you are struggling with the effects of menopause, dealing with the aftermath of a toxic relationship, or seeking to enhance your self-esteem and personal power, Gemma is here to guide you on your journey to healing and empowerment. Her compassionate and skilled approach ensures that you will not only overcome your current challenges but also build a life that you are truly in control of.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
